Responsibilities & Intern Scope
Interns will engage in a range of supportive and administrative duties, including:
- Fundraising and event organization
- Building and maintaining relationships with volunteers’ schools
- Notary public duties
- Counseling support for domestic abuse perpetrators and anger management
- Parenting class assistance
- Promoting organizational awareness on campuses through flyers, brochures, etc.
- Attending events and meetings and reporting outcomes
- Drafting letters, memos, and grant applications (translating where bilingual skills apply)
- Office management and record-keeping
- Homework support for children
- Client job placement assistance
- Providing cultural tolerance education
- Volunteering at food pantries
- Other director-assigned tasks, including supervision of volunteers, contacting officials, and court reporting
