Spring Internship: Remote Product Design Intern

Overview

BalanX Bio is seeking a Product Design Intern to join its remote-first startup team. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in UX/UI design, industrial design, and product development while working on real-world projects.

The internship focuses on concept development, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and creating design assets that support product growth. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gaining mentorship and exposure to a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

As a Product Design Intern, you will:

• Assist in developing early-stage product concepts through sketches, prototypes, and visuals
• Support user research and translate feedback into actionable design improvements
• Create wireframes, mockups, 3D models, and visuals to communicate ideas effectively
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and marketing teams on solutions
• Prepare decks and visuals to present design concepts

Requirements

• Current student or graduate in Product Design, UX/UI, or Industrial Design
• Portfolio showcasing real or concept projects (required)
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or CAD tools
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
