Flomad Labs R&D is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join its robotics team, working on the software foundation that powers an AI-driven humanoid robot. This internship offers hands-on experience in building control systems, data flow management, real-time integrations, and APIs that enable intelligent robotic behavior.
Interns will collaborate with experts in robotics, embedded systems, and AI, contributing to projects at the intersection of automation, perception, and movement. This is a unique opportunity to apply software engineering skills in a dynamic research and development environment while contributing to the future of humanoid robotics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software modules for robot control and integrations.
- Collaborate with engineers across AI, embedded, and control systems.
- Debug and refine multi-platform software for stability and responsiveness.
- Work with real-time processing systems for robotic motion and sensors.
- Build APIs and middleware for cloud and external platform connections.
- Document and maintain clean, scalable code.
- Explore and evaluate AI-assisted development tools.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java with solid OOP principles.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to ROS (Robot Operating System) or distributed systems (preferred).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative mindset and adaptability to iterative workflows.
- Interest in AI, automation, and robotics trends.
