Overview
Dropbox is inviting applications for its Software Engineer Internship (Summer 2026), a 12-week program designed for final-year Computer Science undergraduates (BS/MS) graduating in Fall/Winter 2026 or Spring 2027. This fully remote opportunity offers students the chance to work on high-impact projects, gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and connect with industry experts in a collaborative, Virtual First culture.
Responsibilities
As a Dropbox Software Engineer Intern, you will:
- Ship a full project from start to finish, contributing to Dropbox’s core products.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and deploy features.
- Gain exposure to AI-powered tools like Copilot to improve productivity.
- Participate in rapid prototyping, iterative development, and user-focused design.
- Attend the Emerging Talent Summit, networking with peers and mentors.
Team Opportunities
Interns may join diverse engineering teams, such as:
- Product Engineering – Build features for Dropbox Paper, Transfer, or Family.
- Dash (AI Product) – Contribute to Dropbox’s fast-growing AI-driven platform.
- Infrastructure Engineering – Design systems managing millions of connections and petabytes of data.
- Mobile Engineering – Enhance features in the Dropbox mobile app.
- Security Engineering – Develop secure solutions for apps, infrastructure, and user data.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Graduation date: Fall/Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
- Experience coding in Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Previous exposure to software development (coursework, projects, internships, or competitions).
- Available full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer 2026.
- Passion for problem-solving, usability, and innovative software engineering.
Internship Details
- Duration: 12 weeks (choose May–August or June–September session).
- Compensation: $8,000–$9,500 USD/month.
- Work Mode: Remote (U.S. based).
